Manaka is getting tired of not getting any action, and decides she wants a sextoy. Not one of those electric ones either, she's a magi. It needs to run on magic or be alive to be worthy of her. Shirou's in good shape, attractive, and so stupid that no one will noticed when he's magically lobotomized. Plus, he already hangs out at their place a lot.

Perfect.

Oh yeah, and he's not a magi, so he doesn't actually count as a person. Even better!

Think about it. It's what Ayaka needs to grow. Even within Fate/Prototype, she keeps saying that she is inferior and that she's not her sister. But now, she has someone/something that her sister doesn't have. I am not saying that Ayaka would be arrogant and rub it in Manaka's face, seeing as maybe in Mozco's fic (it MAY or may not tie in completely with RadiantBeam's continuity despite the similarities.) Manaka MAY not even be attracted to Shirou, or if yes, then it wasn't developed yet which was one of the reasons I wrote that short snippet in Aiden's thread is that if EMIYA was Manaka's servant than King Arthur, then her obsession with her servant would extend to Shirou.

But according to what I have read on both Aiden and Radiant's threads, Manaka never/or at least didn't participate in the Grail war, which throws my previous idea into the recycling bin, hence she would have no King Arthur/EMIYA to obsess on. The positive side to that, is that without her obsession, Manaka is pretty much a blank slate, as that was her most defining feature.
