To be fair, the other article is from the Mail, so we can't exactly rule out that being a "joke article" either....

Soooo... people occupying the general area of the British Isles have at some point in about the last thousand years set foot on bearing arms on quite a few countries?

    Color me sort of unsurprised?

I'm rather surprised that Sweden seems to have gotten away with it, actually....

Other countries could write similar books – but they would be much shorter. I don't think anyone could match this, although the Americans had a later start and have been working hard on it in the twentieth century.
Come on America, you can do it!

Well, that story is a little unfair because it's based on modern-day state boundaries. Britain has never actually fought against Georgia, we just fought against the Russians at some point when they controlled it (or something like that).

Well it does mention Iceland cause of WW2 and Britain ransacking a small dutch island as counting as invading the Netherlands, I'm pretty sure you could find a bunch of others like that if you tried. But Britain has fought, and conquered, a lot of the world and I'm sure every other country in the world would've tried it if they could as well.

And I'm actually thinking a bunch of them weren't even done by Britain, they were done by England and the nations that existed prior to the union that created the UK. So it'd be like claiming the Italians have owned all of Europe cause of the Romans.

But regardless Britian is badass, we(or well my ancestors, I'm not technically British) beat you Iskander and Genghis Khan without even trying.

I'm pretty sure we've invaded the geographic location of the Netherlands at other times: when we were jumping on the new French Republic is an example I'm reasonably certain of, and I think we sent troops in when it was under Spanish rule a century or two earlier. We straight-up owned it for a bit, I believe, when William of Orange was King and Stadtholder.

I think they were technically England not Britain though. Or I should stop taking randoms in the comments as fact(this is probably the smarter thing to do)

Well, the UK is the direct successor state to the older countries, Italy is not the successor to the Roman Empire.

1066 is the last time that things were really overhauled.
