Yeah, honestly, if a guy in a petrol station offers to sell you an iPad for $200, it's obviously either fake or stolen, so it's her own damn fault.

Well, I think it's more that they owned us, honestly, given that he was Dutch Stadtholder before he was English King....

If my WWIIfuu is as good as it used to be, which it assuredly isn't, didn't a certain British Field Marshal plan an allied invasion of the Netherlands that was all kinds of a disaster? I think it was called operation Market Garden or something obscure like that. It was a minor operation that no one ever talks about headed by some third rate Commander that never really got much attention so I'm not surprised most people forgot about it. I think that would count as a British invasion of the country. Unless Liberations don't count as invasions.

I would LOVE to see a map like that for America. Would be fun.

We owned them and they owned us.
And given how the inheritance of the titles worked out from there, I think you can argue that Britain was the 'senior' country in that conglomerate. Well, the workings of royal descent are messed-up so ...

It wasn't "all kinds of disaster", it was nearly a success, but wasn't quite able to achieve the objective. That might count, though, although it is somewhat cheating since we were there to liberate Holland and the Dutch were almost certainly quite OK with it.

Exaggerated American perspective, I thought the sarcasm was fairly clear. And nearly is a synonym for close which as we all know only counts for hand grenades and horse shoes. Nuclear weapons, too. =P

In all honesty I don't think Monty was in the wrong. His complaints concerning the lack of backing ring pretty true as to why the operational objectives weren't achieved. Monty was wicked clever; the second battle of Alamein is testament enough to his military genius.

I don't see why liberations wouldn't count as invasions; an unpopular government established by conquest is still the governing body of the land. Prior to the UN enforcing their version of international law with overwhelming force, sovereignty through conquest was a thing. Anytime armed personnel originating from and sanctioned by a foreign government challenges the sovereignty of the current ruling body of a land, I'd call that an invasion. Even if the people living there are clamoring for intervention and the successful conquerors plan on installing a native government when they're done. That just makes it a legitimate invasion. That's just a Kelnish's opinion though, and it's a verifiable fact that Kelnishes are idiots.

Mcafee is now my favorite. Pursuit of 'super perv powder' is best life goal.

I'd just like to say that if this was actually on the News, it still wouldn't be the weirdest thing I have seen make the headlines.

The fact that the first picture is a LOGH reference makes me all kinds of tingly in the nethers. Also, I don't remember the vessel configuration from the later seasons of SG-1 or Atlantis, and I never watched that other one, but are any of those pictures ACTUALLY from Stargate? Do they even allow Canada based television there?

Tarter Sauce! I didn't mean to make a racially insensitive comment about your people! I only purposefully do that to the French-Canadians!
