    I remember once looking it up to see if it was an actual thing and all I found was people saying "did you know that in the 80s people used to say you were unmarriagable after 25? That sure sounds ridiculous in this modern age!"

    So yeah I think it's limited to like, American otaku who dream that Japan is full of hot 25+ single women.

    I was going to make a joke about needing to look for jobs in the UK given the chart that Strife just posted, but I looked up an article on the demographic implications of marriage deferral instead.

    Throughout the UK more older mothers are now giving birth - the number of babies born to women aged 30-34 was the highest on record, with records beginning in 1938.
