    Unlimited mAcworks

    I got a tablet on a whim a few days ago after wanting to get one for years and years. So now that I have one I need to draw stuff to get the hang of this. It feels weird compared to paper. On paper you can guide the lines you draw with your hands, the paper itself, rulers, that kind of thing. With the tablet I feel like I'm just drawing against the air and have trouble making the lines where I want... for now. Although I realized that layers can be useful; I always use layers for other Photoshop stuff, but it never occurred to me to use them for drawing because of the paper mindset.

    My first picture is a meme picture I drew. Now I can finally fill the internet with all sorts of reaction images I wanted to exist but never did. The TROLL FACTORY will never stop.

    That's exactly what it's like. I also want to learn the "soft" style I see a lot of people here use, along with the kind where the strokes are more free and energetic, if that makes sense. Whereas that drawing I just posted is way more precise and deliberate. To do that I have to learn to play with the brushes and pressure and stuff.

    If you want to work with dynamic lines/pressure I suggest to start using Paint Tool SAI (if you don't do it already)
    And do the magic trick:


    Feel free to spam people who post their drawings in fan art thread with questions and ask for tips!
    Nashoki can explain basic stuff with SAI pretty well and is good teacher despite her young age :3

    There should be a new thread made, we'll call it, "Please teach us, Tusia-sensei!". And then you'll get disciples to learn your ways. And as such, we will have taken the first step stowards building your own monarchy...

    Tusia: Thanks! I actually didn't know about that program. I just use Photoshop usually and all I did was plug the tablet in and start drawing. Now to see if there's a Mac version...

    As for the drawing, thanks. There's lots of drawings like that floating around so I wanted to make a Rin version. I was going to do Kotomine but it doesn't fit his character.

    I might as well post this one I made a while ago after playing Ace Attorney. I should just make a Fate version of every Ace Attorney pose.
