Lever action plasma rifle works by ejecting spent heatsink casings every time it overheats. The rifle (misnamed because a plasma weapon most of the time doesn't have any rifling at all inside the barrel) most likely would hold several heat sinks which would eventually have to be replaced.

I did think of how the weapon works, and was leaving it at batteries - but then batteries can be connected in a series and doesn't make the most sense, besides to get rid of weight asap. Though I started thinking of some kinda power cell + plasma gel ammunition. Gel is electrically ignited and magnetically sent down. I was always a fan of using some form of liquid/solid ammunition for a plasma weapon ever since Deus Ex - which fired magnetically doped plastic slugs. There's also the Tau pulse rifles, which fire solid ammunition which turns into plasma as it gets blasted down. Just feels more solid of a concept than just batteries and plasma out of the air.

Anyway energy rifles are all technically not rifles, but we call them rifles anyway because it just puts an identity on their size/role. Though technically its more of a carbine here. The weapon itself is based off the Mare's Leg.

Anyway she isn't one by default, despite frill level. The idea was a saloon girl from the wild west. 1800s ish? So she's more of a Busty Hooker Space Cowgirl. All in line with the whole cowgirl theme.

Though that era roughly coincides with the Victorian era, and the saloon girl dresses - while not exactly Victorian dresses would have shared similar aesthetics. And Lolita fashion mainly draws inspiration from then. So its kinda the same lineage of fashion. Some forms of 'Ero Lolita' probably has a lot in common with what saloon girls might have worn.
