There is a place near my house that just started serving. When I go if they pour a whiskey and then ask me if I am up for some ribs they might as well just take my damn wallet and save us both the trouble
I cannot relate to this, the only times I eat food I didn't cook myself is when I visit my family.

I mean, I know that feel, but sometimes you wanna have something different.
even if you don’t mean to, if your family taught you to cook then whatever you make is going to basically resemble their food. So if I make stew, it tastes like my mom’s stew. If I make fried spaghetti, it taste like my grandpa’s fried spaghetti, etcetera. And I’m proud at having learned some of their secrets, but sometimes you want a meal that doesn’t use that old family recipe, if that makes sense.
Okay, this i can relate. Although, when I want to eat something new, i just look it up and learn how to do it. But this is probably because I like cooking as much as i like eating.
