Was at the bookstore today browsing the manga selection, and saw a manga of Bakemonogatari. I take a look to see how the art is and it just feels off, like it's lacking something. It has no head tilts, weird but alright, that is more a Shaft thing than a Monogatari thing.
Turns out I was looking at it upside down, and they were actually Shaft-ing 150%.

That's kiiiiinda unfair. His art for Air Gear was all-around good and the fanservice was at acceptable levels for the most part (mostly whenever the sparrow chick was offscreen). Not who I would've picked to illustrate a story like Monogatari, but whatever.

As long as he's not writing we're good, because I still get headaches remembering where Air Gear started and where it ended. It's no coincidence the Sankarea fanfic crossover reads exactly the kind of thing he'd write.

I thought it was snowing yesterday morning, so I ran out of the house excited...only to find it was hail instead and I ran back inside wet and sad.
Being sick to my stomach and unable to taste anything for a week does wonders for my waistline.

... I may be wording it a bit too strongly. I could still detect sweet, salty, etc. Just not flavors.
I wonder what kind of bug it was, though. Never had one like that before. All the doctor would say was he guessed it was bacteriological, and antibiotics did seem to knock it back most of the way.

Thanks. I'm mostly better, aside from a slight cough.
I heard somewhere that there was a bad "cold" going around and I wonder if this was it. The symptoms were mainly respiratory.
