I don't think I ever mentioned a squirrel I cleaned up and attempted to bury before, but now seems like a good time.

Well, he died in a storm, and was decomposing on the yard. Couldn't cremate, so burial with full honors was the solution.
No, in the end he was carted off to waste disposal like so much rubbish.

Now it's all coming back to me.
I was in a call with Leftovers and some other folks, went for a stroll in the yard. Saw a grey blotch on the lawn, and what do you know, this little guy bought it. Between the wind and the freezing rain, that's not an unusual story.
I named him Makoto, after the Blazblue character. The ground was too tough to dig up with the gardening trowel I had, so I dropped him in a plastic bag and sent him off to the magical land of the junkyard.
Poor fucker should be grateful I washed away the flies at least.
