Where I was wasn't my hometown so I'm not unfamiliar with it, and Cali isn't that far removed from Wa.

Not having a guaranteed place set up yet and staying at a hotel first though...

If money gets tight, then sleeping out of your car is the way to go. I just hope it's at least an SUV to put the sleeping bag/mattress lol. Those half-trailer cars(?) would be handy.

It is possible to sleep in the backseat of a compact but it isn't very comfortable even for short people.

I usually sleep in my car when I can't sleep anywhere else. It's somewhat relaxing. Like now. Only if a certain someone wasn't making a ruckus with a party of friends and keeping people up regardless when they have work at 6 am. That's cool too.

My store is literally off I-5 so we get a lot of customers who are on road trips/vacations/etc.

I didn't think we did. I just know how my luck is and thought it would mess with me like that. I probably wasn't even back from my vacation when you passed through. I was probably traveling the opposite direction on I-5.
