You know how café au lait is coffee with some milk added? I imagine he basically just did the opposite. That's a common beverage here in Brazil.
The opposite would be a Nes or similar, which is trace amounts coffee, buttload of flavoring and buttload of sugar made with milk or hot water. My fav.
