I'd like to point out that it was the so called barbaric peoples coming in from the east that drank wine straight up. Romans attributed their bloodthirst to it. Roman drink of choice was the bevanda. Wine and water.
I like sangria. that makes me vaguely Roman, right?
Speaking of good things HAVE YOU HEARD OF DREAMCATCHER, THE ANGELS OF ANIMETAL
Ani"""metal""".
Unfortunately, a lot of it is a cesspool of aimless machismo, misoginy, racism, and actual-Nazi-beliefs-no-Godwin, much of it done by teenagers who are still building their own identity and try to be as edgy as possible in order to play at being nonconformists OR by musicians who built careers out of projecting images of being defiant visionaries fighting for the people but who now, in their old age, lack anything worthwhile to say and are content to live off their past glories or, much worse, are actually defending the same establishment against which they used to rebel.
Oh, wait, you meant musically? Well, you can't go wrong with the classics:

Eh, they actually deserve the appelation, I say.
DC and Babymetal are literally the same thing, neither of them play their instruments and just perform.
Or is it because they're japanese?

Industrial """metal""".
I'm hyping up my favs not looking for metalbro validation tbch.
Fair enough! I apologise for intruding. :-)
Babymetal are idols who perform to metal, they're actually lit. No, they are not a metal band, they're an idol group. The music is definitely metal of some sort, but as metal is such a mutated beast by now who knows what specific brand of metal you'd be most correct in applying to it.
So now we begin to ask, in the case of every vocalist who doesn't play an instrument and merely sings while his bandmates slam their instrument of choice beside or more often behind them, are they equal to the girls from Babymetal?
In context of music - no
In context of snobs not acknowledging music and performers because the group in the spotlight don't play the instruments themselves - yes
As creators, I think the girls (and all idols) are beneath them, but as performers every idol is leagues ahead. These girls are freaking nuts if you've ever seen them live. Actual madwomen.
HOLY FUCK BABYMETAL ARE IN NASHVILLE ON THE 18TH
I know they are, I like Babymetal. The Korean music industry is still a fledgling compared to the monster Japanese one, but I can stan a good effort.
To explain, those girls aren't involved in the creation process at all. Their studio creates everything in their music and choreography for their dances isn't up to them, they're just instructed what to do.
But performing the way they do is pretty wild and it would be way easier for them to just grab a mic and sing while flailing without rhyme or reason, rather than all singing in unison while dancing in choreographed unison, nonstop, for hours.

ANYONE WANNA GO WITH ME
I'M NOT KIDDING
For the longest time I hated the term stan but then I started overusing it, it basically draws its origing from Eminem's Stan, which is about an obsessive fan. People half-ironically started referring to themselves as 'stans' of their fave artists. Idol fans use it a lot (not sure about Jidols, I've heard the term wota but not sure if that's something they themselves use or a derogatory term towards them), I've seen Beyonce stans, RPDR stans...
