I did a report recently on the relationship between drug abuse and Skid Row, the infamous psychotic transient breeding ground, and apparently a lot of ambulances have to go in day in and day out to save people having convulsions from shit laced with PCP. I was by the flower district around 4 or 5 AM once and there was a guy shooting up right on the sidewalk. When we came out he was slumped over and that's when an ambulance came to save his ass. Downtown L.A is becoming really nice, but skid row is still an absolute shithole, and it's getting worse.
