I'm also writing the first fiction novel in a series of 3 at the moment. It's nearing the 120,000 word mark and I'm going to attempt to stretch it out to 240,000. As my writing has improved significantly since I began, and I am unsatisfied with the horse crap that is my initial draft; I am doing some heavy editing around the beginning that will continue until the end. I am currently stuck editing the first chapter, which I have gone through just about a hundred times already.
