Their interaction was actually my favorite part of the episode. It was sweet to see Ruby finally making a friend, especially since they were both so sweet and awkward about it.

Weiss is annoying, I expected her to be the cool princess type, not the stuck up one. Blake is about as expected. Juan is great.

The eps actually get a lot done considering their length. The chibi parts were annoying but apart from that it was a decent ep.
It was kind of funny seeing Dust explode into Weiss's face which happened when Ruby sneezed.

SD didn't do it for me, though the one which has her clinging to Yang with a ginormous dopey grin was actually pretty funny.
Jaun is an awkward dork, but in a good way. He and Ruby had a nice introduction with each other. His sword/shield combo is endearingly simple, when you consider how most all of the other weapons we've seen before tend to the "complex and over-the-top" school of thought.
Furthermore, Ruby being the one to design such a stupidly dangerous monster-slaying weapon is totally in character for her, from what we know of her. Rather, presumably basing it on the original design of an equally stupidly dangerous monster-slaying weapon. Got this mental image of her making a goofy sketch of it in a notebook somewhere with a little cartoon Ruby going all Hero of Humanity with this unwieldly deathtrap.

I like Jaune, awkward nice personality and simple weapons, were a nice surprise. I was expecting something a bit more badass and predictable (though seeing as he was vomiting from motion sickness, I guess it should had been expected).

Frankly Weiss gets no room to complain. The heiress of a major company that sells the stuff and she doesn't stop to think that maybe waving it around is a bad idea?
Weiss' VA was serviceable, but sadly didn't stand out. Not bad, simply it wasn't as defining as Yang and Ruby's.
The best of episode 2 was definitely Ruby talking with Jaune. Weiss' anger at Ruby was just... there, Blake was just there to defuse the argument and remind us of her past (and heavily hint that the Schnee family is probably involved in Fauna slave labor) and Yang's main contribution was really to leave Ruby behind so we could have the scene of Ruby by herself. I suspect things will be more friendly between Ruby and Jaune than I originally expected, possibly romance but it's equally possible that he's written to be with the girl in the opening.
To be fair, when you've got a directionless birdbrain bumping around all of your precious explosive cargo I think you're well within your rights to bitch them out for being stupid.
On that note, Blake sounds better than she did before. Signs of improvement are a good thing for a voice actor.
I can already feel the butthurt that the uber hardcore yuri-idiots (none of which we have on BL, thankfully) are going to experience now that Jaun is a "threat" to their girl-on-girl fantasies.

Yes, but Weiss is the one waving around the bottle. If she were my daughter then Dust Safety would be the very first thing engraved into her head. Also Ruby had no idea what was in the cargo, or even that the cargo was there until she bumped into it (and I have to wonder who was insane enough to decide to transport that by suitcase).
As for Blake, I really didn't think that she was bad in the Black trailer so much as that the trailer was just more limited.
And I still want RWBY made into a game. I am not giving up on this.
If it's a game, then it can have...real budget.

Heh. Have a beat-em'up style game like the Dynasty Warriors series. Just imagining it in my head from all of the stuff that happened in the trailers isn't that bad, to be honest. I'd play the fuck out of it.

Not sure what type Blake would be. All I could think of when watching her trailer was that the weapon was ridiculous.
SHe'll fight like Hanzo of Samurai Warriors, except with a lot more acrobatic.
Weiss would be the "Rapier" class of Dynasty Warriors, or a mix up of Orochi's Nu Wa.
Ruby... Either Yue Ying - who have a scythe based move and a long range based move - or OROCHI himself.
Yang... Would have to stick with a combo of Meng Huo, Guan Suo/Ling Tong nunchaku style.
