Kidding. You fell for it!
Or were you?
I found Tex in later seasons to be just overpowered as a character. It was hard to take the Freelancers seriously.
I suspect that RWBY is going to be far more serious than RvB, and so far what we've seen suggests the main characters can all take care of themselves in a fight. Not as much room for Tex antics.
It should be interesting to see how their different fighting styles mesh. Ruby and Weiss both move pretty differently, and I'm assuming Black and Yellow will also have their defining characteristics.
Ruby seems pretty interesting because she can handle a whole group of animals, though granted, a pack of wolves aren't exactly the best judge of her abilities; they aren't particularly smart. Still, the way she moves and operates, she can probably handle herself well with a group of enemies. Weiss seems like she'd be more suited for one-on-one boss fights, preferably against something that she's faster than, because the way she operates she'd probably be overwhelmed by a group unless she had some help.
Black and Yellow are still up in the air.
That sounds like a fairly accurate analysis. If Black calls back to Beauty And The Beast, I'd make an educated guess that she fights like a berserker.
*blink*
Because Nekomimi and what looks like whipsword?
That... uh. Actually sounds like a legit guess.
Isn't that based off of a French tale though and isn't very widely known? I thought they'd be aiming for tales viewers would be familiar with.
