Of course, I've found that a lot of the most adamant people in that camp don't really care if you're queer. You have to be the right flavor of queer, which just goes to show it's not about the character or representation. It's about satisfying that viewer's particular fan wank.

I drifted away from a circle of old gay friends of mine because they just loved talking about a bisexual friend of ours like he was confused or faking it. I found it pretty appalling that they didn't see the vicious irony.
The good old "White Fang are Terrorists" vs "White Fang are Misunderstood" malarkey has cropped up as well.
As in there are people seriously defending Adam et al. for attacking Vale and unleashing hordes of Grimm on the city because "the humans deserved it / the faunus can't be wrong."
