Because that would make too much sense? He's pulling a Nick Fury? Maybe they accidentally deleted all the character models and they ran out of time to redo it? It's not like the plot ever made a great amount of sense in the first place.

A case could be made for the Judy Garland movie, as the characters she meets in Oz are reflections of the people she knows in the real world.

Have to admit, the Faunus do appear to have made what they could on the little bit of land they have. Also TFW you realize that it wasn't a brother of Blake's in the opening this season, but her mother... Also, I love both of her parents.

Awkward parent talk from Sun was great. Not everyone is going to like it, but it felt pretty natural and it fit fairly well.

So dear old dad was the former Fang leader. Perhaps a little cliche and should have been obvious, especially since I think we can all see something that will come to pass. I mean, I think most fans have thought by now that Blake is going to assume the mantle of leadership for the Fang eventually; this just gives her an added weight of inevitability because to get the Fang back on the right path.

Lastly, in regards to our cute little waitress...I hate to do this, but it fits. RIP

The fight choreography was actually damn nice this time around.

That said I finally understand the complaint people have about impact this season. As nice as that fight was, none of those hits looked like they could actually do damage.

While not much happened, I actually really liked the Weiss section. The audio play of the crowd really lends itself to the build up to her explosive reaction. Ironwood looks like he's been drinking 50 times more than Qrow.

Tyrian is still pretty damn irritable. There were moments however when he came off more as ridiculously falmboyant rather than generic psychopath and he was a lot more interesting in those bits than his standard *insert cackle and crazy eyes here.*

Qrow is a bird, we knew this.

Tyrian's eye color change has me curious. And of course he's a scorpion...
