RWBY V6 finale thoughts: It was pretty good to start, until Cordovan appeared to finish off the Leviathan. Don't know exactly why I didn't like it yet, but I felt disappointed like the air deflated out of a balloon. Good on her to turn her character around a bit after getting some sense from Ruby though. Clever use of Jinn btw, love the snarky Genie. Have to say I really like most of Neo's new look, though the amount of cleavage shown is a surprise and feels unnecessary. Love the tease of the evolution of her Semblance too. Cinder's outfit tho... I thought it looked stupid. The mask over the eye was great and made a lot of sense, but than it's just a showl over her left side and her left arm isn't covered or anything. Hide one aspect of the Grimm parts grafted onto you, but not the rest? Doesn't make any sense.

Teasing of #Bumblebee official continues, more handholding and not much else. Speaking of that, Ren and Nora need to get past first base as well. Oz revealed to be a voyeur to no one's real surprise. Atlas air fleet for some reason, does look quite intimidating. I know a lot of people work on RWBY, but jesus 5 minutes of credits is too much. Speed up the crawl time and shrink the font, credits should never be longer than 3 minutes.

The post-credits stinger was fun. Salem going full Wicked Witch of the West and creating Flying Gorilla Grimm should be neat, pretty much legitimizes the whole Atlas Air Fleet, guess she's looking to brute force it. "If you want something done right, you do it yourself." is a good line, but it needs to be backed up going forward in V7. I mean, if that's going to be the case, she needs to destroy most of the Atlas Air Fleet for that line and plan of action to have any weight. There's been a massive hit in the legitimacy of most of the antagonists in RWBY over the past 3 volumes; from Tyrion, Cinder, Hazel, Emerald and Mercury to Adam, almost every threat has been neutered significantly at every turn from V4 onward, with total defeats and no real victories to show for it. If Salem suffers a similar defeat when she "does it herself", I can't ever take her - and subsequently anyone affiliated with her as the antagonist group - seriously as a villain again.

Well, RWBY is back on the nice path... but I am not liking this season finale. I would've expected the Summer scene to get some exposition.

Like every other flashback, it was just to serve as one of her good memories. Though, since it is the first time we've seen Summer on-screen in some way, I'm sure we'll eventually get some flashback time with her. Perhaps not V7, but eventually.

I hate that they cut Blake's hair, I can't stand it. They look nice otherwise. Weiss' hair looks bigger though.

Yeah, Blake's hair looks bad. But I don't really like the artstyle on that poster, so it may look better in the show.

I'm not a fan of Weiss' hair either. How did her hair get so long?

The outfits are fine although there's an excess of belts and zippers. Nice to see Yang has both of her gauntlets back, that's cool.

The problem that has been parroted ad nauseum is the fact that the characters do indeed look as if they underwent "Nomurization" at some point. Belts and zippers because it wasn't Final Fantasy enough as it were...

...or maybe they got the memo that Mutsumi Inomata was ripping them off and are trying to put as much distance between Tales and themselves as possible...

Don't mind Blake's hair, and we haven't seen it animated in the show's usual style, only in artwork, at least, if you haven't seen the Volume 7 trailer, which I still cannot find.

I think Blake's hair looks good. It'd take some getting used to, but I think it's fine.

Also, I can see belts but only two zippers, so I think that you might be overreacting.

I don't like Blake's new hair not because it looks bad (it really does), but it's because she's going to the most racist place on the planet and doesn't even wear her bow.

Of course now that we know she's the daughter of the former chief of the white fang the bow is kinda moot because there's no way atlas military doesn't know how his daughter looks like, but still this here her one chance to wear the bow and she doesn't.

I'm not saying they had to fight a robot because of Blake last season, but they did have to fight a robot because someone in the atlas military doesn't like the idea of Blake in atlas last season.

Unless Caroline was actually talking about Yang, in which case I stand corrected.

I don't think it was JUST Blake that influenced Cordovin's decision, but she was definitely one reason. That being said, considering her heritage and how she's approached race, she'll likely stand proud in the face of discrimination, and Ironwood might do something to stop it, even in the midst of his paranoia.

I am super confused as to why Ruby lied. Did she not trust Ironwood enough? Was she afraid of him lashing out in anger? I honestly don't know, and I think it was a bad idea, especially given how much trust Ironwood has put in them, seemingly.

Killing a robot went about as expected. Unfortunately she seems to have joined everyone else in getting less attractive character design.

Otherwise the series is looking a lot smoother and professional I guess. Though having read a bit about what Rooster Teeth has been lately is kinda grim.

Also I like these guys.
