Well that was definitely an interesting trailer to be sure. Red Riding Hood and Snow White, AFAIK, represented spectacularly.~
So after Red's rifle-scythe, White has a baton-revolver-rapier that has different effects - reminds me heavily of Final Fantay's Mystic Knight's Spellblade - or a Red Mage.
The music choice was different than what I was expecting for the battle scene.
Looking forward to more, obviously.

Okay, this confirms it. White is my favorite until further notice.
White's trailer wasn't as good as Red's. It was smoother but it just wasn't as visceral. White's style looks 'forced' graceful while Red has this animalistic nature to it that I just liked more.

I mean this pretty much confirms for me that Weiss is a character who is depended on for so much with so little reward gained for her efforts, whatever exactly they might be.

Random thoughts.
Personally I preferred Red's. Not quite sure why but I just did.
The two trailers really make it look like a video game. Red fighting a group of elite mooks, White fighting a min-boss.
White seems to be more of a fast moving type. Her powers remind me of one of the forms from Birth by Sleep (I think it was something like Ghost Drive) and Medusa's vectors. The colors seemed to change something about the sword.
And they actually have the balls to show their characters getting hurt, good.
Besides that Red was visiting a grave and then fighting in a forest. White was singing on a stage and then fighting inside a building, looked like a tower of some kind and had a sense of isolation.
If it premiere's this July then presumably the other two will have their trailers posted soon.
If we've got Ruby and Weiss for names then what are Black and Yellow? Schwartz and Amarilla?

Ruby was already confirmed, I'm not sure where Weiss came from but it's everywhere (and the RWBY wiki has her last name as Schnee or 'snow'). Following that it seems logical that the other two names will be related to their colors.
Considering that Ruby had the first trailer, wears red and the show is pronounced 'Ruby' I wonder if she's the main character or leader of their group.
Ah. Is that listed somewhere on the official site? I must have missed it.
On Oum's Twitter she's called Weiss. Still don't know where Schnee's from. Makes sense obviously.
Two more thoughts.
One is that Weiss might be older than Ruby based on how Weiss' character art and animated art appear to be roughly the same age (teens) while Ruby's animated art is clearly younger than her character art.
Second is that I want to play this game damn it.

It is. I commented on the last page that it really felt like a game watching the trailers and I wanted to play it.And I thought it was an animated series
If you listen to the White Trailer carefully at the beginning, some stage announcer (or whatever he's called) said "Weiss Schnee" at 0:11-012

Had to play it with sound nearly turned off.
Prediction: the quote at the start of the video will turn out to be something some important character says.

Reminds me of The Director's quote from Red vs. Blue.

Perhaps, though it feels more like a direct reference to Weiss herself. A sadness that has no source in grief or loss, but simple loneliness. Which makes it an ironic choice for a Valentine's Day release, and is probably the point.
