Started off with THCmon, but haven't been home to set up my connection, so no codes or names.
It's pretty fun and challenging up to about the 4th gym, though after that (and i currently just beat gym 7), it's back to the usual one shot pokemon.

It's fun. I have Oshowatt Lvl 11, Lilipup lvl 10, and Petrat lvl 2. Fuck petrat.

Meh, I stopped playing Pokemon at Platinum. Too many pokermanz is too many, I say. I'm surprised the franchise hasn't reached critical mass and exploded yet, killing us all in a gory mess of cute body parts and overused designs.
Still, Platinum was fun. B/W? Not even gonna bother.
I want my SILVER AND GOLD back, dammit! Yes, yes, HG/SS are the same thing, basically. What I want back is that sense of adventure and wonder I felt when I took my first steps towards a long, kickass journey filled with awesome. That feeling of awe as I stepped into Kanto for the first time, eight badges from Johto already under my belt. God damn it all, I miss those days.
tl;dr- I want my oldschool Pokemon back.
I nickname them all, but I'm bad at coming up with nicknames.
For example, my noob party currently consists of Shinji the Servine, Jack the Timburr, Wesley the Woobat, Roger the Roggenrola, Gizmo the Herdier, and Kenta the Throh. (Yes I know judo isn't wrasslin. I couldn't think of anything else.)
Also I caught two Patrats (just to show up Cheren and Bianca at who can catch the most Pokemon). Then never used them and stuck them in a box.

And Marth: I actually felt the same way. I couldn't play anything past S/G/C without getting really bored, but B/W has really caught my attention. It's got that certain something everything else seemed to lack.

Originality, Nintendo, do you know it? Apparently not.
Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the Pokemon games as much as I did when I first played them, I just wish there was a bit more to it, a bit more exploration perhaps. Or some lengthy sidequests or some sub-plot of sorts.
And with that, back to raising my kung-fu fighting chicken and electric lion wannabe. =)
Just beat the Pokemon league and ready for some Endgame which takes up the other half of the game anyway. Started off with Smugleaf, and love Carracosta. If I can offer any advice to anyone, it is to get the Cove fossil and use it right away. That Centipede thing is pretty awesome too, in it's final form.
Friend Code is 3267-4426-4011 name is BARG. I don't know too much about the online features yet, but maybe one-day some of us can get online and figure it out. I know so far that we can chat and voicechat with that creepy phone thing, and battle/trade over the internetz, as well as do missions.
this game actually revolves around the actual story with Team Plasma. there are actual cut scenes. and actual battle difficultly up to around gym 3-4. possible gym 8 and league since i'm not there yet, but yeah. for a while there, actual battle difficulty.Originally Posted by Marth
Also wanted to chime in that Patrat and his evolved form are the worst creatures this land has ever spawned. Every pokemon game has to have some kind of annoying rodent... that every CPU trainer and their mom uses. For some reason it can learn Hypnosis, Confuse Ray, Detect, and of course the classic Sand Attack that never ceases to make you miss even if only used once. Therefore; he is the most annoying thing to fight ingame. D:
