Well, Kodaka has done it again. Another Episode is apparently selling like hotcakes with shortages everywhere.

Just received my copy. I almost forgot it was a game by the time the anime cut-in sequence was over.

I borrowed your loudspeaker for a while, sorry about that. But I really wanted to examine it more closely. It's quite an interesting device...but it's too powerful, so I adjusted it a bit for you. Have to preserve the game balance, after all.

Just finished Another Episode. Final verdict 2>>>Another Episode≥1.

Another Episode had some interesting ideas but they weren't developed as much as they could've been, mostly because of what I felt was excessive focus on Fukawa and Komaru (neither of whom brought anything new to the table, really).

I really liked the Monokuma Kids and the Warriors of Hope, though. Wish they got more screen time. Fukawa and Komaru's friendship was cute and heartwarming but, though I'm usually a big sucker for FRIENDSHIP of any kind, was honestly not that interesting. Also the pacing overall was kind of sloppy compared to the main games.

That epilogue animation, though.










P.S. I have a feeling Pai will very much enjoy a certain minigame.

So yeah, Danganronpa is getting a new novel series. It's by an author I like, so I'm personally looking forward to it. They can take all my money if it's Danganronpa Komaeda.

I don't know about you, but I find Komaeda's six outfits absolutely fascinating.

Though I haven't read them all, the interviews and comments by the writer on the characters were pretty interesting.

My favorite part was probably getting to see all the drafts of various character and story concepts. (It's a tradition for Danganronpa material books)

I can do without the shorts one, but Komaeda is always sexy.

I wasn't all that hot on ZZS so I probably wouldn't care too much for the interviews and stuff. Though it would be cool to see comments on the climax scene with the controller, which was imo pretty much the only part of the game with the tension that defines the rest of the series. Oh and Monaca is cool too.

I should probably just look at stuff for the second game.

Same here. Which is why I'm debinding this material book and not my Reload material book (includes 2), heh.

People seem to hate her for some reason, but I liked her quite a bit. She and Komaeda make a good pair, I enjoyed their interactions.

I should say, the interviews and stuff were interesting because "what Another Episode could have been" sounded a lot more interesting than what we actually got.

Then again, grass is always greener on the other side.

Like my favorite part of the 2 material book was Komaeda's concept being originally the "Ultimate Reaper" (shinigami). So chuuni, so good.

Monaca is like the only new character who actually comes off as insane, and those few characters that are just in their own world (mainly Enoshima and Komaeda) are pretty much the main draw of the series for me. Obviously she pales in comparison to those two, but she has a lot of good moments, especially how she treats that one kid who likes her. At this point she's probably the only major part of the game I remember fondly, other than some aspects of Komaru's characterization (though in the end Komaru's plot doesn't really go far beyond your everyday FRIENDSHIP and GROWTH thing, not really what I'm into Danganronpa for).

I guess I should take a look at the scans for these interviews then.
