Okay this is my predictions based on this trailer, the scans and patter used in previous Danganronpa games those may change depending on future info.

-Tsumugi : seems nice unfortunatly she is the only chararcter I haven't seen in any of the trailers or the scans in the class trial so she might be the first victim.
- Kaito : definitly the token idiot character so he might survive although he got some Leon vibes so e might end up like him.
-Rantaro : usually the mysterious talent ends up being important so it could be anything at all although I suspect him of knowing more that he lets on.
-Miu : the crazy character : either dies (Ibuki) or survives (Genocider) although I think she might die because despair
-Gonta : buff guys never survive. Next
- Himiko : lolis never survive. Next
-Kirumi : Gothic lolita + Maid = awesome character that is going to kill someone
-Kokichi : royalty usually survives so in theory he should be good
-Ryoma : quite suspicious of him plus the fact that he is a reverse Bandai is a death flag for him.
-Shuichi : could pull off a Chihiro since he kinda looks like Naoto from Persona and could be inspired by her (not too sure about that can anyone check ?)
-Angie : tan skinned girls usually survive. Next
-Ki-bo : he might die since being named after hope makes him a good target for the mastermind : either tries to fight the Monobots or killed in the last trial.
-Korekiyo : he is quite different from the others visually but then again so was Tanaka and his talent could help him lying.
-Maki : initially she was portrayed as being the main helper although ever since the first announcement we didn't see her much so she might survive.
-Tenko : kinda has some Mahiru vibes to her with the whole boys cannot be trusted.
-Kaede : she seems more confident and more leader type than Naegi and Hinata although that might backfire.

So far if there are going to be 6 survivors then I would say Kaede, Kaito, Kokichi, Maki, Shuichi and Angie

I'm only two chapters in v3, but the cases seem a bit more difficult this time around.

chapter 1 and 2 spoilers

The first case I suspected Shokichi (obvious red herring tho) and Rantaro. The idea being Rantaro obviously had a plan of his own, and maybe killed himself with his own trap accidentally because he was caught off guard by the cameras. Explained why nobody admitted they were the culprit for First Blood.
Kaede was admittedly one of my suspects but I didn't expect that method of murder. Frankly, it's a bit out there in terms of setup and has a few holes (she didn't know there'd be music playing to cover the sound of the ball, for starters) but I'll admit defeat.

Second was a fairly complicated. Honestly, I didn't realize until the actual trial that the pool rules only applied to the pool itself and not the entire room. So I had been deadest on the alibis. Honestly thought Kaito would be the #1 red herring (similar to Shokichi in first trial) because of all the build-up, but in the trial he didn't even have that much blame on him. Even at the end I was leaning more towards Angie, with the reasoning being that sometime during the setup she had moved the lid. I guess the fabric should've made it obvious.

V3 has big lengthy complex trials from the very beginning yeah, its kinda off-putting.

Maki is the best girl and makes it 3 out of 3 DR games i played where i called the best girl right at the beginning

just completed case 3. So far i'm liking the game but i have some mixed feelings about certain elements of the story.
I very much liked all new trials mechanics, although Taxi one is stupid. Scrum theme is the new hot shit.

case 1 impressions (SPOILERS)

I totally felll for the bait with detective boytoy and didnt see the twist coming and got plenty confused during trial when it finally came up. I like the concept, but i feel like execution is lacking.
1. I didnt like how murder is not very solid one.
2. I liked Kaede much more than Shiuchi at this point. She seemed just so much more interesting.
3. Protagonist change. I dont like it. Partly because i think whole drama of Kaede being main motivational force behind Shiuchi is a fine concept but not very well executed. Frankly, i am not sold. Partly because detective boy so far seems strictly inferior compared to Hopeboy and Reverse Course Student. His inner conflict is very simplistic and not very compelling. And again, i was much more excited to play Kaede during 1st case.
It might just be my first negative impression and he might be on par with previous protags, but detective boy is definitely not the improvement. Which is a shame, oh but what can you do.

case 2

I liked it a lot. Solid murder with a fitting murderer. Only gripe i have with it is that Ryoma as a character seemed to have a lot of potential but just when you start to think game is going to explore him more bam he ded. Bummer.

case 3

Best murder so far. Very cool, very solid, best murderer. Shame that they didnt go through with the concept of separate murderers though.

Overly simplistic case and not entirely consistent characterisation for the sake of advancing the plot is a real moodkiller
especially after the masterpiece that was the last case of DR2

I disliked this one to be honest. It was way too convoluted and some of the tricks were just kind of stupid, like the spinning effigy and the seasaw thing. Frankly, some of it doesn't make much sense. How did nobody in the seance room notice Korekiyo moving around the room? Surely they could have noticed by the sound of his voice -- even more so when he pushed down the floorboard. And how did he position the sickle with the cloth so well without anybody noticing? Even he somehow did it (despite everyone staring at him) I feel like them placing the statue on top of it would have been way too noticeable.

That said, I surprisingly liked Korekiyo more than I first thought I would. Still would have liked for there to be a second culprit though.

Honestly as a whole the cast is pretty great. Generally there are a few characters in each group that I just hate, but I think everyone here is at least a bit likeable. Even the weird ones like Korekiyo and Angie have their charm.

Kokichi actually delivered as a character. Honestly i was surprised, i fully expected another fail after case 4, but he delivered.
That being said, i dont feel appreciated being cockblocked by Kaito. At all. What the fuck game.

On the negative side, this case yet again highlights poor handling of MC. It honestly feels like anyone could be in his place and nothing would've changed.
Even though he is Ultimate Detective, he doesnt do anything in regards to that title. His lab only serves as a source of poisons for not one, but 2 cases straight (which is fine), what baffles me is how when it comes up, he randomly goes "this bottle has JUUUUST a little less poison it had before" even though i havent stepped foot into the lab beyond initial discovery and investigations themselves. DR1 Characters took research of the areas very seriously, so did DR2 characters, here there is nothing done with this. Hey, my lab has shitton of poison in it? Why not catalogue it / make photos etc etc? Nope, nothing happens, instead he just knows that poison was used. And thats just an example.
His main conflict is basically solved with the help of Kaede first and Kaito second in several conversaions and even though it comes up in every investigation, there is no struggle behind it at all.
Its really dissapointing.

The really weird ones, mostly. Hagakure, Toko, and Yamada from the first game. Gundham and Nekomaru from the second.

'Hate' is probably the wrong word. I don't actively dislike them, but I certainly don't like them very much.

I completed this meme game and i'm confused. Very confused.

Simple they tried to be meta, somewhat succeeded and now people are confused or angry.

Personaly I knew the ending thanks to vidya's stream and compared to what was supposedly leaked I thought it was disappointing which is technically the goal of this ending : to make you feel dissatisfied.

This was way too simple. And while the virtual world was neat leaving things that can't really be explained (we really had no idea what 'glitch' could happen as a result of the wires being switched) is just bad for a mystery.

Split decisions are really cool (hype as fuck OST) but seeing Maki on Kaito's side broke my heart. Kaito has been a bro but he was kind of annoying here, I mean fuck off dude Shokichi was just trying to save everyone.

Honestly I didn't mind the meta stuff. I just think the last trial went on way too fucking long. After a certain point I just wanted it to be over.

5th case was pretty great. It was kind of too complicated to guess exactly but it didn't have any cheap tricks. I originally didn't like Kokichi that much but in the end he was really great.
