Mordred is Arturia's clone, thus would naturally be female.

Like literally, a clone. A duplicate, not just an alternate personality like Alter, or a dress change like Lily. And Nero, who is a completely different person, just with the same face. Mordred, is taken from Artie futasperm to duplicate her, in almost every way. Except the attitude, the attitude most likely came from Morganna.

Mordred is Saber's illegitimate 'son'. So of course she is 'related', any DNA test would tell you that.

As a Saber clone (which I still highly doubt) Mordred's goal, of course, was to emulate her "father". The very fact that she had been given the Clarent was to inspire this dream. Sadly... well, she blew it. Hard. She lies completely disfigured in the Throne of Heroes, and to this day resents her father very, VERY hard for it.

This is a very popular story, I'm surprised you haven't heard of this plot before from an unexpected source.

Oh, and by the way, she blew up Camelot with the Clarent.

And in the leaked snippet where she fights Siegfried - please. Siegfried's on the level of Lancelot, if not higher. One does not simply take out a member of the Nine. Betcha a hundred to one that Siegfried lives past that encounter.

One more spoiler - all the official images of all the Sabers Nasu has ever designed lack a very particular and giveaway detail.
