You just turn the game on multi-player w/ ad-hoc running and it'll detect it. Everything else works just like when you play multi w/ other ppl in range.
And yes, ad-hoc Party is for PS3 only as far as this one know (official firmware wise)

Side note: been away from listening to dub for so long totally forgot how horrible they sound like >____>;

Like Jase already said, not over the internet w/ other ppl.
However, if you have friends playing this game around you, you can still w/ them in a local multi-player mode.

Yes.

Altho it's been mainly used for MHP (especially on the US server) and some PSP (Phantasy Star Portable), ad-hoc Party actually work w/ quite a number of PSP games out there.
