Admittedly the idea of the MVP going to Brady really rubbed me the wrong way. The guy that literally won the game for the Pats was Butler (and Michael Bennett encroaching, lol). I feel like people didn't vote on the playmakers (hell, I'd have put Gronk and maybe Edelman ahead of Brady), they voted for the MRN: most recognized name.

Well, it's not every offseason when a team manages to get 2 slam dunks at quarterback one after the other after a long period of and thus became franchise QBs. The rebuidling process came at least 2 years ahead of schedule because of this.

I'm just saying, when the guy is already known to be party-crazy and has a celebration that involves showing off money, athleticism aside, you've gotta know there's going to be issues.

But what do I know, my past three QBs have been Brett Favre's understudy, a guy that has the balls to play injured for a good chunk of his season as starter, and a guy that can throw 300 yards and run 100 yards in a single goddamn game. The Hawks probably have the market cornered on the grittiest QB average over the past decade.

Also, the NHL Playoffs have been pretty good so far. The Penguins are the latest team to be eliminated and the Jets were the first to go. Fuck the Ducks. >=(

Also, this happened 14 years ago. If it wasn't for the fact that the Red Wings would actually win a few Cups in the 2000s, they'd be considered paper tigers along with the Ottawa Senators. That'd be hilarious.

I'm really surprised that Vancouver is getting beaten pretty bad by Calgary of all teams. They're on the edge of elimination right now.

In all seriousness, two teams went down today. The Predators did look different from years past, but the result was the same one and the Flames came back again and won with heart and skill. Imagine how the Flames would be even better if Mark Giordano was healthy.

But now, they have to make sure the goaltending will be sorted and be done so quickly.
