A namefag bit I used on 4chan during a roleplay thread, and I've stuck with it ever since.

Hmm, Heroslayer is my third real handle I used for a while. I had one in middle school when I first started going on the internet seriously, but I don't remember it. Something to do with Digimon if I recall correctly. In high school I came up with Digisenshi, which in hind sight was stupid and I really should have gone with a Korean name instead of a Japanese one since I still have that as my main email address, but yeah.

After a year of using that I realized, hey, I'm Korean and I have a Japanese handle, kind of stupid. So I went back and read some of my old stuff for a new English sounding handle since I was too lazy to think of a Korean one. I had this stupid idea of an Ex Hero getting betrayed and going out to kill out corrupt heroes. He'd be the Heroslayer. It was a crappy idea, but I liked the name so I kept it. I've been using Heroslayer as much as possible, but it does tend to get taken every now and then.

I used a lot of similar usernames before, but playing around with Touhou too much and watching too much F/SN got me this one, and i started using it everywhere.
Taken from Remilia Scarlet(my favorite in Touhou series), her control over "Fate", and her surname, Scarlet(my favorite color).
My liking to Fate/Stay Night also helped me decide on keeping the first name "Fate".

For some reason, people on IRC are really goddamn curious about my username, yet they constantly forget about it and ask again in their endless desire for useless knowledge.

My username is two parts.

Petri is the cleaved version of Petrified, which was my primary character name from my World of Warcraft times.

kow is the cleaved version Jakow, which is another one of my staple nicks, taken from one of my grandfather's pet cats.

They combine to form Petrikow.

Which incidentally is almost identical to the Slavic name Petrikov, which fit right into my Grandfather's way of naming his cats, who all had Russian names.
