Where does your username come from?

It's the term used for the Olympic Torch in Japanese. I actually came by it thanks to a rose variety named for the torch, instead of just deciding I needed to translate something into Japanese if I wanted a username. More sissy, less weaboo, I guess. (It's kinda bright pink)

Snark aside, as a youngster, I absolutely loved the Phantasy Star series, particularly Phantasy Star III. One of the legendary heroes in that game had a black sword. My first forum was the long-defunct Phantasy Star Discussion Board, and I took that hero's weapon as my moniker. I've kept it since.

As for me, it's not the Transformer. It's from Riding Bean/Gunsmith Cats. Both Bean Bandit's 'handle' and the callsign of his custom car is "RoadBuster"

I got my name when I use to play WoW.

I was a night elf and I try to make my name SilentKnight.

It said no so I changed a few letters ands I changed to to Sylentnight.

I liked it and it has been sticking to me where ever I go.

My username also comes from WoW. I had been playing for a while, then one of my friends picked up the game, as well as another, then another. They all rolled on a different realm, so I just abandoned my current realm and went to make a character on the same server as them. At the time they were using food as a naming scheme, one of us was Cornchip, someone was Broccoli, another was Cauliflower, so I went "fuck it, I'll be Spinach, it's the strongest food there is!"

I got my username from my dad, of all people. It was way back when I first signed up for an account on Fanfiction.net, and I asked him what he thought I should use as my pen name. He suggested RadiantBeam, because my writing would be a "beam of radiant light" on the site or whatever. I liked how it sounded, so I stuck with it when I joined other forums, and here we are today.
