The protag of FF8 was Squall Leonhart.
"Squall" means, as I remember it, a strong sudden gust of wind.
He thinks a storm is very close to a squall, or in fact stronger.
The Japanese word for storm is "Arashi".

Probably because I never joined many forums, granted. And the very first forum I joined, RadiantBeam wasn't even my username because it was before I signed up for FF.net.

The other day I was signing up to a certain forum and spent about a day trying to think of a username. Then I was playing a game and a certain enemy showed up, and I thought "THAT'S IT!" and used its name for my username. Like some sort of vision quest. But with video games.

I've been Five_X ever since I started playing online RTS games and Diablo 2, since... about 2006, maybe?

Before then I was either "Samwise" or "Lord Aragorn" as a nod to Lord of the Rings, of course, and I decided to make something that sounded more... modern, I guess? Something more unique to me, and more "online" in a sense.

So, "Five_X" was born. It's proven quite malleable: some places I'm fivex, others FiveX, others still Fivexxxxx and 5ivexxxxx, and on YouTube I'm 5FiveX.
