I bet it's because I said they're butchering Mahoyo. I can't help it though, I have a very intense maternal instinct toward it. If anybody's going to butcher it, it's going to be me.

What I really need is second pair of eyes to go over the trainwreck of a translation I crapped out for the first few chapters two years ago when I didn't know any better. I went through and fixed it up as best as I could, but I'm sure there are still a lot of really embarrassing mistranslations I accidentally skimmed over anyway because going through it line by line and comparing it to the original is super tedious.

Unfortunately I'm actually quite shy and polite and would never dream of imposing myself on somebody like that since I know how awful and not fun it is, so I'll just have to suck it up and spend a couple weeks gritting through a third pass myself.

And then again.

And now you know why it takes so long.

(In case it isn't clear it's because I keep going back and editing the same thing over and over like an addict.)
