Well, Nasu seems to like going against the mold when it comes to the history/legend of his Servants. (King Arthur as a woman, Nero as a woman, Drake as a woman. Maybe a bit of a theme, but you get the idea.) There's a few other examples, so it makes some sense that he made her like she is in CCC rather than being how she is in her history/legend.

IRUn is right. Sion made the blood-bath look hot, Lancer makes it look somewhat grotesque.
