    I like FNS as it is... ;w;

Why should it become an "AU of Mahou Senki"?
Ahem, no offense meant, just wondering. I don't think it warrants that definition.

Well, I find that some parts of the worldbuilding from F/NS ( the way magic works etc is getting refined while I'm writing MSLD. SO I'm planning on taking that worldbuilding back to F/NS and cleaning up the story again so MSLD, MSYTS and F/NS all work o the same rules of world building. ( Same Operating System, different stories), whcih woudl make F/NS and Alternative Universe based on MSLD verse.

That way we can have proper Rein-Hayate and Rein-Shirou powerlevel debates :P before we eventually get derailed into reincest crossovers because beamspamming, sworsshooting destructo nookie.....

Well... okay, you do make a good point with that argument I suppose. And if you're refining the crossover rules anyways it makes sense that you'd use them n F/NS.

*<* I am just bitter about the possibility you mention of F/NS getting called "Mahou Senki: [insert title]".
IT'S ITS OWN STORY DAMN IT.

In case it is not obvious, I am a bigger fan of F/NS than I am of MSLD, by the way. If anyone was wondering.
Though I suppose with the re-write MSLD is getting to be about the same level. Still, nothing beats the Wolks and Shirou growing as a family. For me, at least.

    Agreed.
unless one option has a higher chance of more Shirou x Vita

Yeah, I'm not too hot about tying Night Sky, with MSLD either.

SO I'm planning on taking that worldbuilding back to F/NS and cleaning up the story again---

Gah! No more rewrites! Your story is perfectly enjoyable in it's current state. The only problem I see is that you seem to be having difficulty transitioning into the Holy Grail War. That's about when you stopped F/NS for it's first rewrite and you're bogged down again at nearly the same spot. You might want to bounce idea's off of someone if you're really stuck. Maybe you have some problems with your notes or it's some other issue. Hopefully you can find some kind of break through.

I would like to object to re-naming Fate/Night Sky.

I don't mind you bringing back the world building and stuff.

But I really like the name Fate/Night Sky.

    Its...almost prophetic.

Fine, Fine. renaming it is to much work anyways. Excuse me while I get back on writing MSLD.

Random question: How would you people describe the sound of gunfire from the perspective of a child who has never heard a gun in her entire life (because mass weapons are banned).

    I'd say something like *Crack!*

I mean, think of the Native Americans before the Europeans came. The best description that comes to mind is thunder cracking through the air, and the guns would sound like that in my opinion.

    That's why I said *Crack!*

fire crackers? (the chinese ones, not the kind that are fired into the air and make pretty lights.)

    Er, not quite.

I meant that's what muskets sounded like back then.

If you want a better description, try "a loud cracking sound was heard across the room, followed by a cry of pain as a foreign object entered a body", or something like that.

It depends heavily on the gun.

For a submachine gun like that I'd say the closest thing a child would equate it to would be a rather fast series of pops, kike from popcorn for a wood/brushfire. The Chinese firework explanation also works if they've seen those.

Ok if they're that close, they'll notice the sound of the mechanism a lot more. I would equate it to a rattling chain personally. It's a very metallic sound. Think of a factory machine that smashes small pieces of steel together very quickly.

It helps if she cover her ears too when she hear the sound of gunshots.

If Arf and Fate are in the area I imagine they'll be horrified or something since someone's shooting mass weapons at them.

I assume that they'd be familiar with explosions. They'd call them loud (odd?) explosions, and will be essentially right.

guns. Not starlight breaker. Once nanoha sees a real gun in Kiri's hands she'll freak.

I think it will be a loud bang that will stun the ears, the reason why people who shoot guns for sport/fun have ear protection is because if not taken care of properly you'll get some hearing impairment.
