Well, I'm assuming that, because 20 is losing heavily to the over 9000 option, anyone who supported 20 is now switching to 30 to ensure that over 9000 doesn't win....
But considering who voted it's probably just that the people who voted 20 haven't really noticed.
Gonna hold out a bit. Still think 30 is about 5-10 too low and I'm not sure about infinite options. Well, I don't think infinite options really matters if no one uses them... Still its a negative.

Well, it's either 20, 30 or infinite options. To me, though, having it too low is far worse than having it too high. The only possible issue with it being too high is if it is so high that someone posts a poll which breaks the forum, and in that case I would imagine DP would reduce it regardless of the result of the vote.
