while the full color for erinacchi makes you think she is a twin tailed ojou the actual chapter at the very least show she doiesn't keep her hair that way normally (thank god) but it is still very different. Which is kinda worrying as usually characters with more complicated designs (like erina's current hairstyle :|) usually don't appear often for actual drawing time constraints.

Hm, I think pretty much every new design looks worse. Alice and anime mom Megumi are okay, though.

I'm actually pleased that Megumi is just the tenth seat but still in the elite ten. She doesn't deserve a higher rank but I can't see her losing to, say, Ikumi.

If she actually gained more confidence I could see her mid-seats. I also kinda wonder if they ever try to push the romance angle if she'll somehow outdo Erina like, accidentally or something.

Takumi better be 2 and constantly trying to take 1 from Souma.

Edit: So, hey, Hisako Kanemoto is going on hiatus to study abroad, does this mean if any more anime is made, they give the role back to Taneda?

If the author would actually let her live up to her hyped potential I could see her dethroning the likes of Ryou, at least, depending on how well he sold her improvement. But he doesn't want to let that happen because she's a cute underdog loser so whatever.

Isshiki and Kuga should probably be second and third. Takumi and Subaru would be seventh and eighth. That just leaves, what, Hisako for ninth? Though that's just 'should' and I guess they could try to play up the Souma's rival angle and give Takumi a really high seat that I don't think he's earned. And it's also possible that Nene made her way back in.

current Megumi is already above most of 3rd year students though. I doubt the privileges as elite ten won't change so eventually someone will challenge her the shokugeki.

Yup. I'd imagine Isshiki is #2, and likely Kuga as #3 (as I don't see him NOT trying to constantly take the 4-6 seat otherwise). That leaves Takumi at #7, Mimisaka as 8 or 9 (I'm guessing 9), and one slot left. The question is whether an old E10 got to keep their seat (if so, I'd guess Nene), another rebel got the seat (only viable one really is Isami, since the rest were shown and not designated a seat), or if it'll be a completely new character.

As for hair, I'm fine with Erina's as it really isn't that different. Megumi's is definitely better. Alice and Yuki's I could see growing on me. The rest don't feel right. Like they just got a hair cut without thinking about style or the shapes of their heads.
