How? 8 was pretty great
In what way? It had screwed difficulty (too easy), and poor characterisation.
If we speak elibe in 7 I can name all characters, describe their personalities and order they joined. In 6 I could do same with 80 percents of characters.
When it come to 8 I can name exactly four characters and describe another six in fashion like "Navare with fancy hat" or dancer whose name resemble lake in Scotland. You don't get more forgettable than that.
Yeah, it was too easy. But if you didn't like the characters, that sounds more like your problem than the game.
No It's not like I didn't like characters. If I didn't it would mean they left some kind of impression, wouldn't it? They were bland and forgettable but nothing controversial enough to be actually disliked...
... or remembered on that matter.

I have way more trouble remembering basically anyone in fe6 and very little problem with 8
FE6 certainly throws a lot of characters at you right from the beginning.
I don't think I'll remember half of these people by the time I finish

Yesterday (April Fools in Japan) the site for FE Echoes got swapped out for a site joking that FE Switch was going to be a game with NES style graphics taking place in Edo Japan and starring clones of Valbar, Leo, and Kamui from Gaiden.
Also, I got a thing

Now I just have to wait until June so I can actually play it.

Ahh, alright got it.
And why do you have to wait until June to play Radiant Dawn? Can't you just emulate it now that you own the physical copy of it?
And with that said, what's everyone's most hated chapter in any FE game? Mine's Conquest's Chapter 10 with that insane number of reinforcements and the 'hold the line' objective.
I've heard mixed things about Dolphin (the GameCube/Wii emulator) and I don't have a controller that works with my computer and I prefer to use a controller. Plus, I'm finishing up school so I'd prefer to not have such a big distraction keeping me from work, Senioritis and all that fun stuff.
As for most hated chapters... any given Fog of War map. Fog of War was a terrible mechanic that didn't really add anything strategically to a given map since it can easily be overcome by turtling, so all it really does is just slow down progress.

Binding Blade's Arcadia is pretty annoying, because of the hidden items in the sand. It's a desert chapter and a fog of war one. Granted it can be finished in a really low number of turns, but overall I'm not a fan of that one particular chapter and desert chapters feel like they take forever anyways. Aside from those issues it's actually a pretty cool chapter with lots of objectives, too bad most of them are in the sand and you're on a turn limit so you have to look up a map if you want to somehow get them all and you also need to lug around Sophia, for that free Guiding Ring, and Cecilia because she's on a mount in the desert.
I'm probably forgetting quite a few of them, but then again it almost feels unfair to group Arcadia with the maps I hate from Conquest as it's overall not that bad, but I thought it was worth a mention. Aside from that most of the bad or annoying maps have been overwritten by the two gimmicky chapters in Conquest that I absolutely hated. Chapter 20 and 24 this may be partially because I did it blind and didn't have many fliers to make these maps less of a headache.
Also whenever I just see a Hexing Rod my enjoyment is already dimmed a little and it makes me miss the Restore Staff. Speaking of staves, the Endgame for Conquest is also not a very fun chapter to do normally Staff Savant maids with Inevitable End are pretty insane. At least it can be beaten in a single turn so it's not too bad, but playing that normally isn't fun. In 25 you don't have to deal with the Inevitable End Ninjas, but then again there's no annoying gimmicks there at worst it's a turn count limit and at best you can end in immediately... Speaking of Ninjas, that Ninja Cave wasn't very fun either.
I really hate early chapters of Hector mode (fe8), I always get his Wolf Beil on half durability, before getting first iron axe...
so this is how it ends
