It would be nice if you would clarify the fact that your "we vote on bans" thing is actually just a complete lie, and you bypass it whenever you feel like it....

I actually looked through a lot of the posts in the magnificent seven thread while yes, it did say that pretty much any ban would pretty much need to go through the admins (with the exception of ban evasion and spambots, DP mentioned offhandedly any abuser would risk impeachment), this is very largely nullified, I believe, through the new rules added before Mike was banned (before Mods generally had the ability to issue warnings but with new rules after two warnings and still showing insolence you are immediately banned).

But yeah, I'm still not quite sure on the current state of how bans happen but it seems legit.

I disagree with it in principle over the particulars of how it was done, but in the end, it went down essentially down two lines:

• Elf and Myself took it from the point of procedure, which is that admins vote before any kind of corrective action. In this sense, we voted no.
• RB and Alt took it from the point of "Would we ban him over these?" In that sense, they voted yes.

Correct. Had we done it normally, I would've voted in favor of the ban.

Strange, because that's not what you said to me when we discussed it. You said you'd have been at most a 50/50 decision.

And the claim that Elf voted against it on procedure is downright laughable. You know as well as I do that she opposes my ban and always has. Not out of "procedure" but because she doesn't think I deserved to be banned, especially not for what I was eventually banned for (which is basically nothing).

Not to mention that apparently at least one of the mods held the vote to ransom by threatening to quit if I didn't stay banned. Which, frankly, is disgraceful, especially when they don't even have the bollocks to admit to it publically.

But, of course, that's the benefit of being in charge, you get to re-write history for your benefit and lie through your hind teeth to make yourself look like the hero.
