Relatively speaking, food's puppets are so blatantly obvious that they're bannable on sight. C_V's puppets, though, blend enough that they could just be ordinary retarded people. It's kind of a weird twist on Poe's law. You can't immediately tell if a poster is a C_V sockpuppet, because unfortunately there are oceans full of trolls and idiots on the internet, and it's not unfeasible that some would come here - some that aren't just C_V under a new name.

Also, ignoring certain technical reasons it's easy to identify food for a moment, he has certain ways of speaking that make him idenitifiable on sight, as a random example, as far as I know he is the only person in the forum, if not the world who refers to seven as "nana" and nigh always responds when people addresses him as food.
CV on the other hand, is just a moron, and it's hard to distinguish one moron from the next

It's really not that hard to identify either over-the-top offensiveness or deliberate retardedness with the patron saint of both. You'd think a new member who's forum interactions consist solely of either, and nothing else, would be easy to spot.
Eventually, he becomes obvious. But at first he's barely different from any troll or assorted shit-stirrer; and while we can ban C_V on sight, we cannot ban shit-stirrers and their ilk quite so quickly. Unfortunately.

Yeah, its not that simple. Which if you are paying attention, is kind of coaberated by the fact that each time we do put enough pieces together to nuke a CV puppet we usually get a couple of people surprised and saying they thought he seemed fine, if a little thick.
Hell, kota still occasionally tells the tale of getting into a serious arguments about whether or not 12 year old girls should be allowed to make their own decisions regarding sex with that one puppet mcjon was sleeping with.
