Honestly, Steam needs this fire lit under their arse. They need to stop being such complacent wankers and do something, because they've been making money hand over fist doing absolutely nothing for a good long fucking while now.
Actually, something like this should've happened years ago, but there wasn't anybody with the financial horsepower to put a dent in Steam's pseudo-monopoly.
That said, Epic needs to do something about their bare-bones-as-fuck launcher as well. They don't want this big community aspect Steam's got? I have no problem with that whatsoever. Steam's community pages are shedloads of cancerous scum, and that's just the users. But they do need some actual fucking features that aren't "GIVE US YOUR MONEY FOR THIS GAME NAO", and with the fact that all they seem to have done months after its release is add a search bar, I have to wonder whether one half of their decision making team are straight-up geniuses and the other half are just fucking orangutans they put suits on and sat behind desks.
