I don't know how to feel about this. I would have preferred that they continued the Megaman Battle Network/Megaman Starforce saga, but a new entry from the classic series isn't bad either.

Also Capcom announced they're releasing all eight Megaman X games on Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2018.
They also announced that they will release Mega Man Collection 1 and 2 for the Nintendo Switch. The collections together are made up of the first 10 numbered Megaman games.

Last official non-Classic Mega Man entry (unless you count the Mega Man X Tekken game that Capcom stole I mean 'bought', which I don't because of how that was handled) actually was Star Force 3 Black Joker / Red Ace - IN 2008.

Seriously, you would think in a decade that SOMETHING could be done with Capcom's signature IP. ZX and Star Force were basically cancelled due to lack of sales, but their stories were clearly set up to continue - especially ZX. Hell, make something completely new at this point, it doesn't really matter. What does feel stupid though is that for the past decade, the only relevant part of Mega Man is his Classic state. whether it be in Mega Man 10, (which btw was 2010) Smash 4, and Marvel Vs. Capcom. I mean, I know 80s-90s nostalgia is huge this decade, but this feels like Capcom just doesn't know what to do with Mega Man and wants to keep the nostalgia train going for as long as possible. And it will work with 11 here imo, as it looks like it still plays like a Classic Mega Man game.


...Lastly, Unlimited was the Mega Man game we never deserved but still got. Thank you again, MegaPhilX.

So to recap some of the bigger things from this Game Awards:

- Bloodborne 2 potentially a thing? (Or Tenshu sequel, something I haven't heard of until tonight)
- No one still has any idea what the fuck Death Stranding is, but we all agree it's an amazing mindfuck. Also Reedus has clothes.
- Bayonetta fucking 3 is real, Switch exclusive.
- Soul Calibur VI is real.
- Breath of the Wild surprisingly wins Game of the Year (was sure PUBG had it, although I personally was glad it did not)
- Almost everyone collectively shat on EA for the Battlefront 2 debacle.

Yeah, we don't even know if Miyazaki is directing this game. Would be cool if he is though, and seeing that he's the president of FromSoft he most likely has some form of involvement. We might see more at PSX

Yeah, they have no idea what they want to do with Mega Man. They could release a new Battle Network or Starforce game, maybe even remake the old ones. The technology is there that allows people to play against each other in battles with online multiplayer on handhelds.

"New Digimon Story game in development that is separate from the Cyber Sleuth series".

So yeah, Hacker's Memory was just to tide us over since this new game will apparently be in development for quite a while. Very excited for more Digimon games.

Super Robot Wars X announced for PS4, PS Vita - Due out in Japan in March, and in Asia with English subtitles in April.
