It isn't.
To my knowledge all rape scenes are avoidable and you SHOULD do it.
Shiki is a nice guy deep down even if he has moments of insanity or being a complete jerk.

The Kohaku scene is actually unavoidable, like Tang says(though I hate that one, myself). I don't remember about the Arc scene.

IIRC, it was something like:

>Shiki flies away

And there was no CG, only that one background of blood splattering. And my Tsukihime was the non-H version, and I still remember getting something like this,soooo...

Wrong. Before you open the door the game gives you two options, can't exactly remember how it was. But he doesn't rape her if you don't let her get close to you, he just strangles her a bit and runs away. You definitely get a bad end if you rape her.

Something like:

Kohaku: "Sorry, but the SHIKI I know doesn't have fingers like a pianist, mr... Nero?"
