Fate/strange fake (Free-Range Spoilers)

We can't get an anime soon because as much as we are four volumes into the story, aside battles here and there, we are still like 3 days into the story. They would need to put some sort of anime original ending and even then it would be best if we got another volume of content since Narita had to end volume 4 abruptly due to the sheer number of pages he wrote. As if that wasn't enough, they'd need a good director that can keep the informational exposure given by the narration, otherwise many things will be out of place. hell, look at Apocrypha: it wasn't that good, but they kept cutting off explanations and the characters thoughts that it end up even worse.

Which is why I was genuinely surprised to see it there, tbh. Like, as much as I want an anime, it would be way too soon? And Narita can't just write and publish another 5 volumes that soon, no matter how much he wants to (flashbacks to him saying he wanted to publish 3 volumes a year just after the mess he got himself into last year).

But at the same time, it would still be nice to have even a small thing, imo. Maybe some sort of OVA to promote the LN, and make it even more popular. And judging Narita's writing style, I would genuinely hope that if the day comes where FSF does get an anime, he would get a good enough director to be able to mimic his writing. Durarara was pretty good in my opinion, at least compared to the novels. So here's to hoping FSF gets a better treatment than Apocrypha, if it ever comes to it.

Hmmm, maybe in the occasion they add anime original content, or something ahead of the novels, then I guess it could work as a 12 episodes adaptation of the first half?

Durarara's first season adapted the three first LNs, and while surely a lot more happened in the first three DRRR LNs than in the first three FSF LNs, it all also depends when this anime would come out. We're getting the fifth LN this year, and Narita said he plans (keyword) to write only ten volumes, so depending how they all work around it, I guess they could try and animate in twelve episodes the first half of the LN.

Then again I have no idea how stuff like this works, soooooo... It's mostly just wishful thinking. Maybe an anime would get Narita to write faster, too. That, of course, if SF even gets a good ranking in this poll.

I think there was a tweet about originally wanting to release Strange Fake in December.

The Bleach releases started in December and are a lot shorter than the ones for the first volume were.

If the spoilers from January were real than wouldn't the volume have already been announced or is being announced for May tomorrow with Baccano since Baccano should be first.

So unless both books come out the same day 1-3 months after the next Baccano volume hopefully?

And yet more updates about Anime Japan, Strange Fake actually ranked second, only after a BL manga, apparently. No matter what that means for SF in regards to getting an anime this early or not, it's pleasant to see how it has been growing, considering the poll had other 144 series.
