Is chapter 1 the latest we have translated of Volume 5? I went through some of the previous pages but got hit by a few spoilers so I'd rather not try my luck too much.

I wonder how strong will Saber's Fakebur be using one of Gil's weapons - if he manages to hold on to one for any significant amount of time. He'll probably be able to reach that A+ rank.
Richard has many things up his sleeve in tactics and surprise attacks through his friends. I expect more like those surprises from him against Alkeides, rather than raw power coming from Gilgamesh's weapons.
Yeah, that's the fun part of his powers. But the current available translation literally ends with him snatching Gil's broadsword while he's not looking, so that was the fresh thing in my mind.
It's also probably his saving grace against the absolute monsters that Alkeides and Hercules are, as even with all the tricks up his sleeve, he lacks the raw power to really be able to compete with them.

I wholeheartedly agree. I really want to see a final, climactic battle between them where they both go all out.
Based on the spoilers Comun posted earlier, that may not be happening.
I can't help but feel like Enkidu will kick the bucket sooner or later, 3/4 of the war is against him and he has a dying Gil to carry
Their "appointment" is teased so many times in each volume that I would be seriously dissapointed if it didn't happen. Gilgamesh isn't in the best place at the end of the volume (well, neither are the other protagonists), but he's so central to SF and connected to so many characters and events I'll eat my shoes if he actually dies now. I really can't see Enkidu do it alone or carry the plot as much. I'm pretty sure Gilgamesh will recover somehow (Enkidu, Potion, some NP...).
I am pretty sure every servant will eventually die, the question is how and when. We will know more when the ending of vol 5 is translated, I keep reading contradictory information.
