I'll be honest, I've never been fond of school based sex ed anyway. That seems more like something parents should teach their kids. And while I disagree with the law, it's not like a ban on contraceptives(which would be so out of line it's almost funny).

That is pretty fucked up though. "Don't have sex until marriage" is a subjective belief (usually religious, for that matter) that a school shouldn't be teaching.

I didn't say or imply that the rest of the states are liburl. Some are liburl, some are conservatard, some are indecisive. That's why I hate US politics.

I like Maddox, Koto-nee. Maddox has skeptic tendencies too. I just didn't like the sound of generalization. Reminds me of an old Net friend that thinks all Muslims are lying about their religion because of Taqiyya or all 4chan users as hackers on steroids. Take note, he likes Rush Limbaugh. And I think Limbaugh is too much in his beliefs.

Well Maddox's site was okay back in the day. Because at the time, an angry guy ranting on his website with exaggerated machismo wasn't such a common thing. (Though I might just be looking at it with nostalgia because I was like thirteen)

But nowadays that's pretty much everyone on the internet, so he wasn't really able to stay relevant.

Parents should teach it, but some of them never will. And I think this something that should be taught to every single kid, even if their parents are lazy, ashamed or fundamentalists, so the best place for it is school.

yeah, I am pretty solidly with gaia on this one. its not that I dont think parants should have first crack at that walnut, but right off hand I can think of several people I know intimatly who were severely, even life alteringly messed up because their conservative parants pulled them from sex ed classes and then refused to do any teaching themselves because of either perpetually considering them to young or for moral and religious reasons.

some people dont raise their kids right. It is as simple as that, those kids still deserve at least a basic grasp of whats going on that isnt provided by pornogrophy or forced upon them by drunken boy and/or girlfriends.

i don't think that parents necessarily have to teach their kids sex ed (never heard shit from mine), but they need to learn something other than abstinence only, teens are stupid enough as it is, abstinence only is just adding to that ignorance
