IIRC, in one of the original drafts of Fate/Zero Dark Sakura was supposed to have a brief cameo in Kariya's death scene wjere she ends up completely rejecting him and everything he did for her sake(ie, while Sakura was still a little girl)......but even Nasu thought that was pushing it.
...only because Sakura hadn't been implanted with the Grail shards yet. :X

Did we ever hear it in that much detail? I thought it was just vaguely "Urobuchi was going to do something horrible to Kariya involving Sakura but I told him not to" and we just speculated the rest.
He said something about people would think that is her default "mode" which spawned another argument as to what that meant. And that Gen is responsible for Sakura's behavior in Unlimited Codes.
