Quick Question: Does a Mage need a Crest in order to be able to cast two spells in a turn?

I was wondering if that was the reason why Will was able to cast twice.

If a Crest is not needed, then would a sufficiently high CAS allow for the casting of two spells?

Which would sort of make sense (since lower level spells have shorter cast times), I guess. Still a tad suprised about the whole thing.

So high CAS + low rank spells = multiple casts? However, unless you can turn your A ranks into instant-casts, I don't think is really possible to do that with higher ranking spells.

At second thought considering the fact that both of his spells were also crest spells, I would actually lean towards no (since this seems to be "spam lower end spells that have in addition turned into crest spells").

Not too sure about it though.

Meh, who knows? Maybe Verg uses a rule of thumb where you can cast a number of spells totaling your CAS Rank. Like someone with A CAS being able to spam five or six E Rank Spells, or B and an E or D, depending on whether the "-" Rank counts.

Probably, though, I'd say it's more a case of what seems reasonable as opposed to something concrete like that.
