All of Day 3 for both sides is out now. I quite enjoyed both Part 11's here for different reasons. On the Magi side, we see for the first time part of the aftermath of the previous title(s) and a confirmation that Reiji in this title is a combination of all the Reijis that were in EXS/FA from the varying routes and/or love interests. Thank you, good ol' timey-wimey tomfoolery for mindfucking me when I had ignored it.






As for the Seventh Chord side, I just enjoyed Freya's inflection and personal backstory as to how she met Sensei and what led her to Voluspa and her brother in the first place.

Next two parts are up today. Cute, fun times with Freya; Cute, melancholic times with Reiji.

Day 4 for both sides is now complete. Sometimes I really feel bad for Nagisa.

Specifically, it was the part in Milky Way where they mention a toy store in passing that made me think it.

With that thought in mind, I fear for the innocence of any stuffed animals Alicia may or may not acquire in the future. :V

I will admit, Toy Box feels like the naughty one that's for sure. And although I know they don't have the same voice actor, I can't help but imagine that Alicia is holding a chibi Nero from Extra as Toy Box talks.

Anyway, I'm about halfway through the current playlist. Alternating between the Mahoutsukai and Seventh Chord sides transitions well. Especially when the knights are discussing how much of a threat to the world the seventh top tier magi are, how shady they are, that they might actually be Odin's underlings and planning to overthrow society ... and then the next video is Sayuki and Momiji arguing over Reiji and the contrast made me die from laughter.

I was planning to do the contrast from the start considering how the stories go. There are missing scenes that will be added eventually after I reach the end of the initial playthough. That's what all those static segments are that feel randomly placed mean.

Day 6 for both sides complete now with some light hearted fun and serious thought all in the same scene for the Seventh Chord.

Mikoto is my favorite Seventh Chord member. Her voice actress does such a bang-up job that her energy is infectious. Freya's got my favorite design by virtue of being as nonsense as it is.

All in all, this game so far's been reminding me of Fate/hollow ataraxia. Also, the shadier, mysterious, new Seventh Chord stuff has my attention a lot more than hijinksy/last-season-recap the Magi side has to offer. Not that I have problems with the slice of life itself--the Seventh Chord interactions are great, by virtue of being fresh, and most of the Magi SOL is serviceable--just that the stuff with Sakura in it slows to a crawl. :V That said, as a whole, it's still nice seeing the old crew back and doing their thing. Fun stuff's fun.

I heartily look forward to the continual escalation of the plot.

Next video for the Magi is out, and everyone's in for a treat. Reiji's parents finally make their debut here.



...No one is prepared to handle two of Sakura though. This I firmly believe.

More troubling than that is Ichigo's awful culinary sense, which puts its own, science-themed self-assured spin on the age old "awful chef" trope.

The worst part about that is I'm sure that she's right in some way, or I didn't get the information exactly right to TL it correctly. Which makes her cooking 'skill' even more amazing.

Day 7 is done for both sides now with this latest video. It's so cute and yet so damn odd to hear both Sakuras say the same line simultaneously. XD
