I think the main reason why Miki scores so low is obvious actually. Other than her previous relationships (and the symbology of it afterward) she has literally NO impact on the story at all since she's not one of the magi.
I can see that... only Hinako scored even less then Miki (from what it seems). Which means there were people who voted for Umi, but not for Hinako (if being a mage makes you popular)?

I guess whether you think it is a slur or not depends on whether you think terms like Brit or other such terms are slurs. To some people they are nicknames, to other people they are slurs, it is context dependent it seems.
