Ah, I see. I'm not able to get into the pure prose form of Nasu stuff very well. I only got up to the translated point of FZ (at the time, the fight against Caster's monster) and then never had the motivation to keep reading it later, never looked too hard for KNK after seeing the movies and Apocrypha is still pretty dull, though I'm keeping up with that one.
Went with Touko. Ryougi isn't bad, but Touko is just better. Azaka... She's kind of like Hisui to me. No real opinion on her at all. Kinda weird since she's proto Tohsaka and proto Akiha and I like the former and the latter can at least be pretty decent sometimes.
Yeah. Same reason I love Kohaku. Rape in your backstory? Sure, that's terrible. Abuse? Awful. Goddamn worms? No, not buying it. ...Of course, Mike is probably the main reason I can't stand Sakura.

Well I like her more than Sakura as well, it's the "heroine" I'm having an issue with. Unlike Sakura she's never on the "hero's" side in the first place. Sakura only turned satanic three quarters into the story.

Touko doesn't really seem to be a 'heroine' imo, so imma go with Shiki.
I watched the KnK movies and I found Ryougi a bit too boring. Knowing the hype she gets, I guess I missed something very big about her personality. Fujino is a better Sakura and Touko seems like a rather fun "Big Sister" kind of character.

I was also disappointed with the lack of a Mikiya option.
I am of the personal belief that the Tsukihime Remake is two years from release. It will remain as such until a release date is announced, at which time its actual release date is 6 months after that date.
