You're probably right about Musashi.
But i'd say that they're probably pretty close to each other.
I want to say that Nobunaga is probably more popular in japan than Musashi though, as i'm pretty sure every student there have studied a little about him while Musashi should be just a curious footnote in the history books
EDIT:
I'm not even sure whats the status of Musashi on Nasuverse.
His most recognizable feat is the defeat of Kojiro Sasaki and that didn't happen

More like infamous. Japanese of his age hated his guts for demolishing Buddhist shrines, encouraging proto-Westernization and being Atheist.I want to say that Nobunaga is probably more popular in japan
I've always been curious.
Whats the status of Nobunaga nowadays on Japan schools? Do they treat him as "the villain" or do they went the "Nobunaga was right" route.
If I use anime/games as the reference, he's probably considered to be evil, I wouldn't know how he's taught in schools though.
I mean, in the end, he just kinda wanted to conquer the country right? Not sure how that would be told as a noble story....
Many did. Japanese was clusterfuck at this point and many people wanted unification. Tokugawa who ultimately pulled it off got lauded for it, though Nobunaga did good portion of dismantling the power of daimyos.I mean, in the end, he just kinda wanted to conquer the country right? Does this mean that Yamato Spirit = Cheating
Musashi also wanked firearms more than swords in his books.
Which aint surprising considering bows were actually the most preferred weapons of samurai
Musashi was just pragmatic as fuck.
He is the type of guy who would bring a gun to a swordfight.
He used 2 swords because 2 is more than 1.
In his (ficticional) duel against Kojiro he not only purposely arrived late to annoy Kojiro, he also stood in a way that the sun would shine on Sasaki's eye.
but Musashi lost anyway.
not to kojiro.
Yup, real samurais boasted about their archery skills while downplaying their swordmanship since they saw blades as more a stuff of ceremonies.Which aint surprising considering bows were actually the most preferred weapons of samurai
Well, in Musashi/Kojiro's era, they were starting to go full wank katana retard.
don't quote me on this
@All
Do you know Koha-Ace of current situation?
Miss Jarman said viciously: 'You must reallywant your money.'
'No.' Harvey shook his head wearily. 'It's not that, honey. He wants to be Caneton. And nobody ever beat Caneton. Yet.'
I said quickly: 'Bring the car through in fifteen minutes. Unless you hear shooting. Then you can decide for yourself.'
I walked away down the bank to the right, looking for the entrance to the communication trench. I found it and turned in.

What do you mean?
