You're not wrong.
Their war is a great spiritual war.
Nobunaga is the sort of character that GMs would nerf in an RP. Food for thought.
My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
Nobunaga is the GMPC by that one GM who likes to be overcool to the point where it's a nuisance.
Though the damage against those with Riding skill isn't a bad touch.
Just the rest is yeah, lol.
I think if Nobunaga had lower stats she'd actually be pretty balanced. Really good against AOG type servants horrible against really young servants. Makes a good change. She changes the meta of older is better.
They actually did it half out of fear, because she was too good.
Also the list is a divide between those with with some measure of connection with divine/otherwordly things or ambiguity about their identities (so, literally mystery) like Kojiro and Jack the Ripper. I don't see the problem.
I think Nobunaga is alright. As the Gilgamesh replacement servant, i think her "Progress" gimmick is pretty fun
I think just calling her a gag character and be done with it is a bit of a silly move

O piteous Wanderer.
I am really not getting that vibe from her.
“And thus, you are weak of faith. We cannot bestow the title of
grandmaster unto one such as yourself.”
That argument was mere sophistry. And yet, she accepted it wholeheartedly.
I see. My faith is not deep enough.
How much I have yet to learn. I have brought shame upon the
miracles of the former grandmasters.
She did not resent anyone else. She merely continued to hone her
own abilities.
And when a new grandmaster—the Hundred-Faced—was selected—
She saw that he was capable of all manner of things, things she
could not do herself, but she did not envy him. She only felt shame at
her own impiety.
Geez, making me actually take facts into account when it comes to Strange Fake; You sure are cruel.
I am curious as to who "the people" are though.
Is Hassan elected by popular vote?

O piteous Wanderer.
It seems to be some sort of election by peers?
Electoral College Murrica all the way.
I knew Nobunaga stressed modernity, but was the real man so adamant against spirituality and religious tradition?
Introduced gun warfare, reorganized the class system, reorganized how land was distributed, burnt Buddhists monasteries to the ground...

From what I recall he wasn't so much against the concept of religion as he was against religion being involved in politics, though don't quote me on that.
